Let’s Craft Your Story.

Every person offers the world a unique value proposition. A “story” rooted in the foundation of your past, your skills, your unique talents. We help you to uncover, identify, and tell that story concisely and elegantly, so that others can see, hear, and relate to it in an instant.

Actualize It.

Whether it’s ensuring you’re presenting your best self on LinkedIn, face-to-face, on paper, or on TV, we will help you to identify and build on your strengths and position you for your next act, ultimately landing you in a new, bright spot.

Planning your next act? You have a unique and textured personal and professional history. You’ve found success (and struggle) in any number of forms. You’re ready for your next chapter. What now? How do you define, craft, and land your next act?  Bright Spots Coaching is your partner. We help you to identify your future self, craft your story, and actualize it.

Bright Spots Coaching Is Your Partner.

Susan Paley mastered the art and science of storytelling through a 30-year career in the worlds of media, board leadership, and coaching. She earned her writing chops as a producer and script writer at the BBC and Discovery Channel.

Through her work with corporate board members at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Susan has guided senior executives and boardroom leaders to elevate their games and best position themselves for success.

Susan has coached vice presidents who were readying themselves for the top-of-the-house position and retiring CEOs who were working to identify their encore career. She has coached staff at the CIA and worked with retiring flag officers to sharpen their stories into pitches in pursuit of a board seat. Susan has also advised on brand initiatives, identifying both corporate and individuals’ values.

Susan earned her BA in International Relations and Communications from Tufts University. She is an NACD Governance Fellow and is a graduate of George Mason University's Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being program, an ICF (International Coach Federation) accredited program.

Let’s Talk.

One retiring CEO, moving to a next career, called his one-on-one work with Susan “transformational.”
