Through coaching, customized workshops, and a range of services that support leaders’ exploration of next right steps, Susan helps clients transform blind spots into bright spots.

Through her roles in industry and her experience leading teams and reporting to CEOs, Susan learned first-hand what it takes to contribute at all levels of an organization. She’s thus well positioned to help executives unpack and prepare for the high-wire act that is the blending of strategic vision, technical expertise, prolific accountability, and human-centric leadership. Thus, Susan has partnered with executives and corporate board members in the transformative work of developing themselves and bettering the organizations they serve. Her proven sweet spot lies in the intersection of leadership, communication, content, and coaching.

As a coach as well as communication, leadership, and culture specialist, Susan has brought herenergy and expertise to some of the world’s most respected organizations. She was invited to train ateam at an agency in the U.S. intelligence community and has coached clients ranging from Fortune50 executives to one of Hollywood's most innovative directors. She has worked with leaders atorganizations in a range of industries including technology, banking, manufacturing, hospitality, retail,aeronautical engineering, defense, and pharma/biotech. She works with government contractors,associations, lobbying groups, and non-profit executives as well.

In her role as a Vice President at NACD she guided and equipped senior executives and board leaders to elevate their expertise and best position themselves and the enterprises they serve for success. As a thought-leader in the executive coaching and board space she speaks at national conferences on topics ranging from human-centric leadership to positioning oneself for a board seat and taking the leap from executive to a portfolio lifestyle. Susan authors blogs and magazine articles on a variety of topics related to leadership and she hosts NACD’s podcast, BoardVision.


Susan honed her writing chops, production skills, and communications solutions as a script writer and producer at the BBC and Discovery Networks. At C-SPAN, Susan served as field producer for coverage of events at the White House, Congress, and political conventions, as well as a globally famous confirmation hearing for a Supreme Court Justice.


Susan has helped C-suite officers deepen the impact of their message, and executives develop personal branding and followership. She’s partnered with individuals in career transitions to help them uncover and articulate their own unique stories concisely and elegantly. And Susan has guided organizations in identifying and articulating their core values. 


She builds and facilitates workshops on a range of topics including Purposeful Communication as well as Executive Presence, and Preparing For Your Next Act, all focused on delivering leaders new clarity. The impact of her unique “Magic of Imperfection” has been called “profound” by leaders who’ve participated.


Susan earned her BA in International Relations and Communications from Tufts University, including classes at the London School of Economics. She is certified by the International Coaching Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), has earned her Board Leadership Fellowship from NACD, is a member of the International Women’s Forum, and has taken an extensive number of training courses in leadership and coaching. To stay balanced, Susan practices yoga and meditation.
